NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY OF SWAZILAND

Indoor Events
Indoor Events are held at the Mountain Inn, Mbabane at 7.15pm for 7.30pm. Meetings last around one or one and a half hours.
Non-Members are welcome at all indoor events. However adult non-members are charged E10 each, while children have free entry.
Indoor Events are advertised in the Times of Swaziland.

Wed 22 September 2010, 7.15 for 7.30 pm: Diccon Robinson -'Alien plant eradication'

Wed xx October 2010: 7.15 for 7.30 pm: Prof Ara Monadjem - 'Challanges for the conservation of African raptors' - An introductory, general account of the conservation status of raptors and factors affecting their decline. Followed by a more detailed discussion covering some of Ara's own research including work on vultures in Namibia, tracking of Ruppell's vulture in Kenya, and the Sokoke scops owl. The last of which is probably the most range-restricted owl in Africa.
Wed xxth October 2010, 7.15 for 7.30 pm: BBC film about Thea Litschka and snakes, presented by Luchi Balarin.
