The Natural History Society of Swaziland Forthcoming Indoor Events Wednesday t.b.a. 2008. Mountain Inn. 7.30pm for 8.00pm.
Indoor Events are held at the Mountain Inn, Mbabane at 7-30pm for 8.00pm. Meetings last around one and a half hours. Non-Members are welcome at all indoor events. However adult non-members are charged E10 each, while children have free entry. Indoor Events are advertised in the Times of Swaziland.
Former speakers at our Annual Dinner and other special indoor events include: Hugh Chittenden - Rare forest birds of KwaZulu Natal + John Voelker Bird Book Fund Dr Ian Whyte - Elephant / Herbivore research scientist in Kruger Parks for over 30 years Dr Ben Smith - Director of the Rock Art Institute at Wits University Dr John Hanks - Director of Conservation International's Southern Africa Wilderness Program Mr Sibusiso Vilane - The first ever Swazi to scale the summit of Mount Everest - 50 years after the first ever ascent by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Kim Wolhuter - National Geographic filmmaker and former warden of Swaziland’s Mlawula Game Reserve. Dr Gus Mills - A leading authority on Wild Dogs . Dr Lee Burger - A leading archaeologist based in South Africa. Professor David Price Williams - An authority on archaeology who has also worked in Swaziland. Dave Johnson - Expert ecologist with a special interest in the interaction of birds and plants.
